Fine Art Print Package
Initial Consultation
Once you express your interest in a custom dog shoot, I will meet with you to get to know you and your dog(s), show you my portfolio and explore options for settings (your yard, beach, woods, open fields, etc.) and preferred style of image. This initial consultation is complimentary.
Photoshoot
Should we decide to move forward with a custom shoot, a $300 deposit is required. This deposit will cover my time and expenses to do up to two sessions and can be applied towards the cost of prints. If additional sessions are required, either due to behavior issues with your dog or if you want a special look that is hard to achieve, an additional cost of $200/hour is applied. Travel beyond 50 miles is charged at $200/hour plus expenses.
Photo Selection
A typical photo shoot produces a thousand images or more. I will review and cull images to select the top few (usually between 5 and 10) for client review and selection.
The selected images are then edited to produce the highest quality fine art print. This can include removing distractions, cropping, adjustments of exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, clarity, color, sharpening, noise reduction and experimenting with various software programs.
Printing Your Fine Art Photographs
The cost of producing fine art photographs is dependent on two factors: size and medium.
Prices start at $600 for an 11x14 print. The $300 deposit is applied toward the cost of the print.
You may choose to have the print matted and framed yourself or the photographer can provide the service for you. Anything other than an archival print (matting, framing, canvas, metal or acrylic prints) is outsourced and an hourly rate and the cost of production is passed on the client.
Clients will be provided with a low-resolution jpeg file for each image purchased for use on your phone or social media. Full resolution files for printing are not given out. The high standard of fine art printing can be maintained only when the photographer produces the final product.
